Start with the baseline

Make the truck dependable first.

A HMMWV overland conversion only works when the base vehicle is sorted. We begin with condition, intended use, and the systems that need attention before comfort or expedition equipment is added.

Each project is scoped around the actual truck and the way its owner plans to use it.

That may mean bringing a recently purchased vehicle to a reliable mechanical baseline, improving road manners for regular travel, or turning a utility or ambulance body into a practical expedition platform. Cooling, brakes, steering, drivetrain, electrical condition, and serviceability all belong in the same plan.

Once the foundation is right, we can integrate recovery equipment, auxiliary power, lighting, storage, seating, insulation, heat, communications, and camping systems. The goal is a cohesive HMMWV build that remains understandable and maintainable in the field.

  • Pre-build inspection and mechanical baselining
  • Cooling, braking, steering, drivetrain, and electrical work
  • Cab comfort, seating, insulation, heat, and noise control
  • Recovery, auxiliary power, lighting, storage, and expedition systems
  • Custom mounting and fabrication shaped around the platform

One vehicle. Three connected priorities.

A useful Humvee build balances reliability, control, and mission equipment from the beginning.

01 / BASELINE

Reliability

Inspect, repair, and sort the systems that determine whether the vehicle starts, cools, stops, steers, and keeps working.

02 / DRIVER

Drivability

Address control feel, visibility, cabin usability, heat, seating, and road behavior around the owner’s real travel.

03 / MISSION

Integration

Package recovery, power, lighting, storage, communications, and living systems so they work together and remain serviceable.

How a project takes shape

Build in the right order.

A clear sequence protects the budget and prevents finished work from being removed to correct an overlooked system underneath it.

  1. 01

    Inspect

Document the truck’s condition, configuration, known issues, and immediate safety or reliability needs.

  2. 02

    Define the mission

Decide how the HMMWV will be driven, carried, camped in, or equipped before choosing upgrades.

  3. 03

    Build the systems

Complete mechanical work, fabrication, electrical integration, and interior systems in a logical sequence.

  4. 04

    Check the whole vehicle

Review the completed work as one operating platform and address the details that only appear when systems interact.
